# License & AI-training licensing

PHOSPHOR is governed on **two distinct axes**. Do not conflate them.

## 1. Software license — Apache-2.0

The PHOSPHOR source code, specs, and documentation in the repository
`github.com/kakon77777-commits/eml-phosphor` are licensed under the
**Apache License 2.0**. You may use, modify, and distribute the work (including
commercially) under Apache-2.0's terms, which require preserving attribution and
the `NOTICE`.

## 2. AI-learning rights — AIRS / AILP

Separately from the software license, the author expresses machine-readable
**preferences** for how AI systems may *learn from* this site's content (the corpus,
docs, and prose). These are preference and rights signals, **not** a standalone legal
license, and do not override or replace the Apache-2.0 grant (see AIRS §8.1). The
machine-readable form is [`/ai/rights-spectrum.json`](../rights-spectrum.json).
